Biografia

Dr. Gerson Suarez-Cedeno, MD, has a diverse background in neurology and medical education. During his training, he conducted in vitro research on the neuroprotective effects of antioxidants against toxins related to Parkinson-like diseases. After graduating, he worked as a physician for the Colombian Red Cross in the Amazon region. His neurology residency was completed at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he also served as a media ambassador, promoting stroke community outreach programs. Dr. Suarez-Cedeno further honed his expertise during a 2-year Movement Disorders Fellowship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he focused on implementing telemedicine as a clinical teaching tool. His clinical interests include treating Movement Disorders such as tremors, Parkinson?s Disease, tics, dystonias, Huntington?s disease, and ataxias. Additionally, he is passionate about medical education, addressing health disparities, and exploring the intersection of medical technology with Movement Disorders.
